Champions League Twenty20

USA may be new venue for Champions League Twenty20.
The prospect of the Twenty20 roadshow reaching the USA in the near future has moved a step closer following meetings between Don Lockerbie, the chief executive of USACA, and Lalit Modi, the IPL commissioner, in Dubai.

The talks between the two men came on the same day that Modi unveiled the dates for the 2010 Champions League tournament.
America is a vast, mostly untapped market for cricket. Will Lalit Modi and Twenty20 manage to break it over in the States? I know we have thousands of fans in the USA: what do you think?

Okay now lets talk about the another topic related to CL T-20, Modi announced yesterday that this year's Champions League would take place from September 10-26 in venues yet to be named and it clashed not only with England's County Championships and a new 40-over league but also with their ODI series against Pakistan.

The ECB said in a statement that they were not consulted before finalising the Airtel Champions League dates but Modi dismissed the allegation.
Modi said, adding that CL Governing Council member Dean Kino "is and has been in touch with (ECB chief executive) (David) Collier on a regular basis since December (2009)." but ECB is most upset with CL clashing with both the domestic tournaments, to which Modi's suggestion was to prepone them.

This is all the news in context to CT T-20. Lets see what will be the next step.

Cheers!
