Kallis, Uthappa helps RCB to clinch a thriller :
Chasing an imposing 204 for victory, Kallis and Manish Pandey provided Bangalore with their best ever start in the competition. Robin Uthappa took over from Pandey with a brutal assault of 51 from just 21 balls as Bangalore as the hosts were on their way.
Uthappa fell after reaching the second fastest IPL fifty off 19 balls with four massive sixes and four boundaries. In one over of S Sreesanth, Uthappa scored 25 runs, hitting him for three huge sixes and a boundary. He had put 69-run stand with Kallis in just 5.5 overs.
Kallis assumed charge with a barrage of sixes that took Bangalore to victory with seven balls to spare. The South African was unbeaten on 89 after facing 55 balls and his knock was studded with eight fours and five sixes. For his splendid effort he bagged the man of the match award and also the orange cap for highest run-getter of the IPL THREE. He remain unbeaten in both the matches so far.
Earlier, Manvinder Bisla hammered his first half-century in the IPL and went on to score 75 from just 51 balls with the help of seven fours and four sixes, while Bopara stroked his second consecutive fifty as the pair added 129 runs for the first wicket after Punjab captain captain Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and opted to bat..
Despite the failure of Yuvraj Singh (9), Punjab kept their momentum as Bopara and Mahela Jayawardene (26 not out) guided the team to an imposing total. Bopara was out in the final over for 77, having faced 50 balls.
Bangalore Royal Challengers 204 for 2 (Kallis 89*, Uthappa 51) beat Kings XI Punjab 203 for 3 (Bopara 77, Bisla 73) by eight wickets.

Chennai ground high-flying Knight Riders :
Kolkata Knight Riders were brought back to earth with a shattering defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday.
Chasing 165, Kolkata faltered right from the beginning of their run chase as they were shot out for 109 with four balls to spare. Chennai shook off their defeat to Deccan Chargers and their convincing victory brings them right back in the competition.
Kolkata were off to a dreadful start when Albie Morkel got rid of Brad Hodge with the second ball of the opening over, before Manpreet Gony, playing his first game of the tournament, struck to send back Manoj Tiwary.
Kolkata never recovered from the early setbacks as only four of their batsmen got into double figures. Skipper Sourav Ganguly didn't look confident and departed after labouring to 11 from 20 balls. Justin Kemp was the most successful bowler for Chennai, picking up 3-12 from three overs while L Balaji struck twice.
Earlier, MS Dhoni led from the front with a brisk half-century as Chennai recovered from early setbacks to post a competitive 164-3.
Dhoni clobbered an unbeaten 33-ball 66 while Badrinath scored 43 not out and added 109 runs after Chennai failed to get going in the first half of their innings after electing to bat.
Matthew Hayden disappointed for the second time in a row as Ishant Sharma castled him for one. Chennai struggled to get boundaries away against Shane Bond and Ishant, and the adding pressure accounted for the dismissals of Suresh Raina and Murali Vijay (33).
